Launched in Tokyo in 2018 by designer Norio Terada, YOKE creates contemporary clothing around the idea of connection.

The brand’s name refers both to the act of joining things together and to a garment’s yoke—the structural panel that connects its different parts. This idea extends throughout the making process, linking material, pattern, craftsperson, wearer, and garment. Through refined fabrics, soft proportions, and a unisex approach, YOKE brings a contemporary sensibility to familiar wardrobe forms.
