Founded in Japan in 2016 by Kiichiro Asakawa, ssstein approaches clothing with a sense of quiet strength and unforced elegance.

Beginning with the deconstruction and remaking of vintage garments, Asakawa developed a design language shaped by precise pattern cutting, distinctive proportions, and close attention to fabric. The collections balance serenity with presence, creating coats, tailoring, knitwear, shirts, and trousers that appear restrained at first glance but reveal their complexity through movement and wear.
